Jan 27th: Prompt: Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt: Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.  The first thing that comes to mind when I think about creativity is practice. First, I break the section im working on into 4 notes, then I take each section and play one note, then add on untill those 4 notes are good, then i learn the second section, then play section one and two together, then I learn section three, then I play 2 and 3 together, then I play 1, 2, and 3 sperately from one another, then I connect all of them, then I swing the notes so I get more repitition without it becoming boring. A project that Im most proud of is either fixit my truck or a rbe goldberg machine I made in 8th grade Reflection: We worked on vocab and I got it done befoer class ended Summary we worked on vocab on writable

jan 29th: Prompt: When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Some strategies I use: Drive truck, think about truck, work on truck, shop for truck, look at truck, dream about buying more truck, floor truck, flooring it past tesla drivers. I really enjoy shopping for trucks on facebook marketplace, I have my eye on a 1996 F350 XLT right now with a 7.3 power stroke which is one of the most reliable engines ever created. My goal is to buy a 92-97 F350 Crewcab, long bed, dually by the time I graduate highschool. I currently drive a 95 F150 4X4, its a supercab with an 8 foot bed, I love my truck and I dont think I would ever trade it for anything. Its a little rough right now but I'm slowly fixing everything on it, which is what I wanted. Currently it has a code for the EGR valve not opening so I either have a vaccum leak or a stuck EGR valve. The truck also needs new u-joints and a tailgate. Over teh summer, I really would love to paint the truck, since some of the areas are rough Suammary: Worked on my blog post for tuesday and the two common li...

Jan 23rd: After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, I find pathos to be the most effective because it appeals directly to emotions, which makes an argument more powerful and memorable. When a speaker connects to how people feel, such as hope, fear, or empathy. It makes the message feel personal instead of distant. While logos and ethos are important, pathos is the most compelling to me because it motivates people to care and take action. Reflection: wasnt prepared for the test Summary: we took a test

Jan 15th Prompt: Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why

The place I feel most at peace is my grandparents farm in kentucky. They have a farm near richmond, its 25 acres that has a log house my grandpa built Summary: We learned 2 new Rhetorical devices Reflection: gotta practice trumpet alot

Jan 9th: Prompt: Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

I took a short break from practicing trumpet during marching band season because I was overwhelmed with school and tired after long rehearsals. At first, I thought missing a few days wouldn’t matter, but I quickly noticed my range and endurance getting worse. That made me realize how important consistent practice is, and it pushed me to manage my time better so I could keep improving without burning out. Summary: we looked at literary devices and how to use them

Jan 7th, Prompt: Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

4 Goals for 2026 Jan 6th 2026

The first goal I would like to achieve in 2026 is being able to reach a double  g  above the staff in the stands at football games.  This goal is important to me because range is important to  me  and the more range that I develop opens me to more  opportunities  such as lead trumpet in a jazz band.   To achieve my goal, I need to practice long tones at different dynamics and gradually work my way from around a c above the staff to a double g, and do this every day. I hope to reach my goal by the start of football season  my  senior year. The second goal I would like to achieve in 2026 is scoring 1200 or above on the SAT.  This goal is important to me since a better SAT score opens more opportunities for scholarships.  To achieve my goal, I will have to study, prepare, and hopefully take a class that teaches  to  the SAT. I would like to score at least 1200 on the June  SAT The third goal I have for 2026 is to pa...
