Prompt: Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt: One time I remember feeling completely lost was in an audition last year for All-State Jazz band. I didn't know my audition was the day it was, so I had to go into the audition completely unprepared, basically sight reading everything, and without scales memorized. I didn't make All-State, but I had a chance to do auditions for District Honor band. I decided not to go to District auditions because they were an hour away. This year I plan to ty out for All-state, All-state Jazz, and District band.

Summary: I stayed home because I was sick. I worked on some classwork, an etude, and slept.

Reflection: I learned I shouldn't procrastinate my school work because I might as well do it since I'm sick. I learned playing my trumpet makes me worse.

In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.
