Prompt: Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

 Prompt: I've always been curious about why different places tune to different frequencies. The U.S., and most other places tune to 440hz while some tune to 442hz or 443hz. Its not tha much of a difference but its still a difference. What are the advantages and disadvantages of tuning to different frequencies? Why arent we able to agree on a universal concert pitch frequency?

reflection: I wish teachers were more flexible with work. Some people have activities and events after school, especial on days where theres football games. I wont have time to complete the assignment today because RIGHT after school I have to prepare things for eight grade night, then have rehersal, then I'm required to be at every football game so I typically get home around midnight. Wheres the time in there that you said I had to work on my work for your class? Thanks.

 Prompt: One question I've had for a while is why are instruments SO expensive. I get that it's a niche market, but that isn't an excuse for pieces of brass to cost thousands of dollars. For example, a brand new Yamaha Xeno (trumpet) would cost you around 3400$. My second question is why schools don't teach us essential skills we need in life  such as: writing checks, filing taxes, job hunting, and financial literacy.  Summary: I stayed home because I was sick. 4 Goals for 2026 Jan 6th 2026

The first goal I would like to achieve in 2026 is being able to reach a double  g  above the staff in the stands at football games.  This goal is important to me because range is important to  me  and the more range that I develop opens me to more  opportunities  such as lead trumpet in a jazz band.   To achieve my goal, I need to practice long tones at different dynamics and gradually work my way from around a c above the staff to a double g, and do this every day. I hope to reach my goal by the start of football season  my  senior year. The second goal I would like to achieve in 2026 is scoring 1200 or above on the SAT.  This goal is important to me since a better SAT score opens more opportunities for scholarships.  To achieve my goal, I will have to study, prepare, and hopefully take a class that teaches  to  the SAT.
