In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?
There was a time when I had to set a boundary with a friend who kept joking around in ways that started to bother me. At first, I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to make things awkward, but after a while it started to really get to me. Eventually, I told them how I felt and asked them to stop. It was uncomfortable at first, and things were a little tense for a bit, but it actually helped our friendship in the long run. They understood where I was coming from, and we got along better afterward. It reminded me that sometimes setting boundaries doesn’t push people away, it can actually make a friendship stronger, just like the wall in the poem helps both neighbors keep a good relationship by respecting each other’s space.
summary: I worked on some social studies work then I started on my blog posts.
Reflection: I gotta stop procrastinating this stuff
