Prompt: Write about what you are thankful for.

One thing that im thankful for is my horse who I've had since 4th grade. Her name is kitty and she's a purebred Tennessee walker. Im pretty sure shes around 23 or 24 right now. 

Summary: Today in class, we wrote a sentence for each word in lesson 3 in the vocab books and completed tasks 3 and 4.

Reflection: I got a lot done and finished the assignment before class ended. I had about 15 minutes to work on other work.

The poem was interesting, I  liked the poem but I thought "Out Out" was much more engaging. I really like how we annotate the poems together as a class, since it help me stay engaged.

 Prompt: One question I've had for a while is why are instruments SO expensive. I get that it's a niche market, but that isn't an excuse for pieces of brass to cost thousands of dollars. For example, a brand new Yamaha Xeno (trumpet) would cost you around 3400$. My second question is why schools don't teach us essential skills we need in life  such as: writing checks, filing taxes, job hunting, and financial literacy.  Summary: I stayed home because I was sick. 4 Goals for 2026 Jan 6th 2026

The first goal I would like to achieve in 2026 is being able to reach a double  g  above the staff in the stands at football games.  This goal is important to me because range is important to  me  and the more range that I develop opens me to more  opportunities  such as lead trumpet in a jazz band.   To achieve my goal, I need to practice long tones at different dynamics and gradually work my way from around a c above the staff to a double g, and do this every day. I hope to reach my goal by the start of football season  my  senior year. The second goal I would like to achieve in 2026 is scoring 1200 or above on the SAT.  This goal is important to me since a better SAT score opens more opportunities for scholarships.  To achieve my goal, I will have to study, prepare, and hopefully take a class that teaches  to  the SAT.
